Turkey Day

I have so much to be thankful for. I spent the day with those I love and didn't even have to cook. It was actually a good PD day.

Busy ,Busy Day

Up early and met with two people from Harvard University doing research of Parkinson's Disease. I have been involved in this research for three years now. They gather information on a variety of things pertaining to people with PD such as memory etc. I would list them all but I forgot them, Ha ha just kidding. This time I wasn't able to take my morning medications until they were done. Trust me that was not easy. The day did turn out a whole lot better because I spent it with my wonderful daughter. In the evening I worked on more Atc's.

If only I could remember to scan before I send

Here is a small sample of my cards. Most I have not saved.

How I spend my time

I have made so many friends on Swapbot. We swap our crafts. I love to crochet, knit, and paint. I seem to be addicted to making ATC's *artist trading cards. These are little works of art 2.5 X 3.5 of just about any medium that will fit well on that size space. Some I do in watercolor, pencils, ink, stamping. Depends on the theme and my mood. I have traded hundreds of cards and met so many creative people. Many of them have touched me with their kindness and understanding. For example, my profile on swapbot explains that I have Parkinson's Disease and so many have commented on to this. I feel like I am not only sharing a part of myself through my art but I am also spreading awareness of PD. This photo is of one of the atc's I made today.

I have to start somewhere

Yes that was me long before anyone knew what a Blog was and it has taken me forever to jump into the Blog thing. Looks like I had a bit of an attitude problem back then. Who ME! I'm glad I outgrew it even if some won't agree. Here we go full speed ahead. In my case, having Parkinson's that would be slower than slow. Put away your red pens and don't think of correcting my spelling. I will only blame it on the PD, shaky hands can't type well.
